Prof. Darko Katalinić, M.D., Ph.D., has 22-year international experience in internal medicine, endocrinology, oncology and hematology. In addition to his doctorate in medicine and doctorate of science in molecular endocrinology, Prof. Katalinić also achieved the highest professional title of primarius (senior consultant) and professor of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health. Prof. Katalinić completed 3 medical specialisations: internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology. He has obtained the German certificates in Medical Genetics and Clinical Studies as well as European certificates in Medical oncology (ESMO), Hematology (EHA), and Endocrinology (ESE). Prof. Katalinic is an internationally recognized clinical expert and clinical scientist with specific expertise in managing complex medical conditions with particular interest in clinical and molecular endocrinology, thyroidology, neuroendocrinology, medical oncology, haematology and medical genetics.

- He graduated Medicine (M.D.) from the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka, Croatia and received his scientific doctorate in Molecular Biology (Ph.D.) from the Faculty of Science in Zagreb, Croatia. He passed the European exams in Medical Oncology (ESMO-Certificate), Hematology (EHA-Certificate), and Endocrinology (ESE-Certificate).
- He worked as a Senior Consultant at Department of Endocrinology (School of Medicine and UHC Sisters of Charity), Department of Oncology (School of Medicine and UHC Zagreb) and at the Teaching Hospitals in Germany (Lüdenscheid, Koblenz and Herford).
- He published more than 150 professional and scientific papers, co-authored 7 university textbooks and university manuals in the field of internal medicine, endocrinology endocrine oncology, hematology and medical oncology.
- He has participated in 5 scientific projects and 14 clinical studies, and is a reviewer of 23 and bord member of 13 international scientific journals. He has been an invited lecturer at more than 50 scientific and professional symposia and congresses abroad.
- He has been appointed as an International expert of the European Commission for projects in science and health, Ambassador of the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR) and Ambassador of the Society for Hematologic Oncology (SOHO)
