Dr. Škaro has twenty years of medical experience. He specialized in otorhinolaryngology and head and neck surgery. The thyroid diagnosis and treatment is his field of special interest.
Since 2008, he has worked as the director of the first privately owned centre for thyroid disorders in which he is active even today. In his practice, he gladly includes different medical and non-medical experts in order to provide an integral support to the patients.
By following the trends in surgery, he introduced a new surgical instrument – ultracision-harmonic scalpel which enables the minimally invasive thyroid operations. In that way, less tissue destruction, faster postoperational recovery and smaller postoperational scar is achieved.

Thyroid surgery

Leptir Polyclinic applies modern techniques of the Minimally Invasive Surgery of the Thyroid at patients with thyroid disfunction. Such technique brings a number of advantages. A surgery lasts shorter. A tissue distruction is smaller. A post-surgery pain is smaller. A hospitalization is shorter. A post-surgery recovery is shorter.

I had problems with hemorrhoids for four years. After been examined by Dr. Ivanović, a HAL-RAR procedure had been arranged. The operation was successful and I was sent home the next morning. The recovery lasted ten days. Now, six weeks after the procedure, I had a checkup and everything is all right. I’d like to thank the entire staff, especially Dr. Ivanović, on professional and pleasant approach.
